At SuperAwesome, we’re proud to be recognised as one of Campaign’s Best Places to Work in 2025 – but we know that kind of recognition doesn’t happen by accident. It’s all down to the brilliant people who bring our mission to life every day.
To celebrate the team at the heart of our success, we’ve launched ‘Life at SuperAwesome’ – a content series that spotlights the incredible individuals who make this such a special place to work. Through their stories, we’re diving into what they do, what drives them, and how they bring their passion to work (and beyond).
Stay tuned as we share what makes SuperAwesome truly awesome – one team member at a time.

In this week’s feature, we sat down with Beth Culhane. Beth has worn several hats during her time at SuperAwesome and talked us through how she’s finding her current role as Product Marketing Lead, with her one-year anniversary in the position just around the corner. With two under 4, Beth also spoke to us about the challenges of managing work and home goals simultaneously – we definitely think she’s smashing both.

Can you describe your role at SuperAwesome?

I’ve had a couple of different roles during my 7+ years at SA, and I have really enjoyed moving around and gaining experience in different teams. I’m part of the small but mighty marketing team currently, responsible for Product Marketing, focusing on launching our products, optimising their marketability, and ensuring their overall success. As with everything at SuperAwesome, it’s never ‘just me’. I have close collaboration with so many other teams, including Product, Commercial, Insights, and Legal. Before that, I worked in both the Gaming and PopJam (RIP) teams, where I loved bringing engaging and safe experiences to life.

You’re coming up to a year in your role now, what’s been your favorite project so far and why? Who did you have to work with?

Wow, taking a second to appreciate that it hasn’t been a year yet, it feels like so much longer!

It’s hard to pick just one project, so I’m going with two. We’ve done a heap of updated positioning across AwesomeAds for Social to help our commercial teams stand out in such a competitive YouTube landscape. And there’s nothing quite like seeing the results of your efforts coming through in the numbers, shoutout to Hannah (Senior Product Manager) and Ben Z (CRO) for their ongoing competitive spirit, and Allie (Head of Brand Strategy) for kicking the whole project off.

My favourite project so far is bringing Awesome Intelligence to market. It’s rare to work on something from the very start, so it’s been a great learning experience. I also feel like we’re bringing something to the industry that is sorely needed—we’re paving the way for audience-based marketing in the youth ecosystem, and that’s really exciting.

Tell us about something you’ve had to learn in your role so far?

I’ve never had to organise or prioritise to this level before. While I love working with so many different products and teams, it comes with a big challenge: How do you know what to work on first when everything is so important? It’s a massive juggling act, and I’m super grateful to our Executive team for helping me prioritise and stay on track with company goals.

I’m also trying to teach myself to remember that AI exists 😅 Does anyone else get to the end of a monstrous administrative task and then think “wait, surely there’s a tool that could have helped me speed that process up?” No? Just me? I like to think I’m getting there. NotebookLM is my new favourite for summarising and finding discrepancies between documents.

What would you say is the best thing about working at SuperAwesome?

Hands down, it’s SA Fam, aka the people. I’m incredibly fortunate to work with a huge number of teams, and every single one of them has a positive impact on my day-to-day and well-being. No matter how busy people are or if they’re going through a rough period, the vibes are strong, and the hustle is real.

As well as the business undergoing changes over the years, I’ve had 2 children during my time at SuperAwesome. When I come back each time, I always wonder whether the people still have that SA superpower vibe, and they always do. I’d recommend working at SuperAwesome to anyone.

Tell us a bit more about YOU! What do you do in your spare time outside of work?

Not to be overly dramatic, but what spare time? 🤣I have two kids under 4, so spare time is hard to come by. When I’m not with them, you can find me listening to the Parenting Hell podcast #iykyk, reading, or drinking wine, preferably from New Zealand. I wish I could ski more, we’ll attempt that again when they’re a bit older!

My favourite thing to do is travel home to Guernsey in the Channel Islands. Whether it’s walking the cliffs or eating fish and chips and watching the sun set on the beach, there’s no place I’d rather be! If you’ve never heard about it, allow AI to assist you: Guernsey, a Channel Island, offers a blend of British and French influences with a relaxed pace of life and beautiful scenery. It boasts a vibrant independent shop scene, unique road names, and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The island is known for its maritime climate, stunning coastline, and agricultural products like cattle, flowers, and early potatoes. It’s not lying about the cows, the butter and ice-cream are dangerously good.

What’s one work goal of yours for 2025? How do you plan to achieve it?

Probably in line with other parents of little ones, pure survival. Optimistically, I wanted to accomplish what I’m capable of both at work and at home simultaneously, but realistically, it’s just not possible, and that’s okay. Sometimes there’s a lot going on at work, which means home takes a back seat for a while, and I have to rely on my ‘village’ a bit more than normal. Other times my family need me and work comes second. It goes in phases, and that’s why it’s great to work with colleagues who understand the strain of that working-parent life.

So, my goal has morphed into finding my work-life balance. It’s a work in progress, and to be honest, I think it always will be!
