In late September 2020, SuperAwesome was acquired by Epic Games, the leading interactive entertainment company and provider of 3D engine technology.

Wellbeing

We enable our team to be their best selves and feel empowered to acknowledge and address their mental health needs. Our benefits package offers comprehensive mental health support including access to an employee assistance programme and to therapy, coaching and live group sessions through Modern Health, a mental health platform.

We offer wellbeing initiatives that have included meditations, in-office massages, a virtual ‘wellbeing festival’ and educational resources. We also have ‘Mental Health Champions’, who are employees trained in mental health first aid and take on the role of championing an open and supportive culture.

Our team deserves more than free snacks, art classes, DJ events and offsites (although we do all of that too!). What we think really matters, is giving you a voice. Our employees’ experience has always been a priority which is why we run engagement surveys and focus groups to get your feedback on how we can continue to make SuperAwesome even more awesome!

Based on our engagement surveys benchmarking, we currently score in the top 25% for engagement in comparison to similar sized companies in our industry. We believe that our team’s engagement is reinforced by the support we offer and their sense of belonging and purpose here.

Learning Opportunities

Our philosophy around growth is that it’s not just vertical. Opportunities to develop can be created by everyone; we’ll enable you with personal learning budgets, bi-annual reviews with 360 feedback, personal development planning and company training.

Alongside this, we organize quarterly ‘Lightning Talks’ which are speedy presentations that help people to share knowledge and showcase their role in Epic Games. We organize bi-annual Hack Days for our Product team where the team can build and explore innovative ideas. We also encourage dedicated learning time to focus on self-learning initiatives; we call it our Pet Projects!
