Big news: SuperAwesome has been selected to join Tech Nation’s Future Fifty – the UK’s most prestigious programme for scaling tech companies.
It’s a huge moment for us. Not just because we’re joining the ranks of companies like Monzo, Deliveroo, and Darktrace – but because it recognises something we care about deeply: building a safer internet for the next generation.
Why Does It Matter?
We’re the only youth-first technology company in this year’s Future Fifty cohort. That means one thing: the mission to make digital spaces safer for kids and teens is officially on the national stage.
Our team has spent years creating the tech that helps brands and platforms connect with Gen Alpha and Gen Z in ways that are safe, compliant, and privacy-first. And along the way, we’ve helped drive more than $500 million back into the kids’ digital ecosystem. Now, we’re being backed to scale that impact even further.
As Prime Minister Keir Starmer put it this week “Founders are pushing the barriers of innovation, creating products and services that improve our everyday lives, attracting investment and creating jobs.”
And as Johnny Mayo, Future Fifty Lead at Tech Nation, said: “SuperAwesome is not just delivering a critical service – they’re a category-defining force driving innovation and trust in the UK tech landscape.”We’re hugely grateful to Johnny and the Tech Nation team for welcoming us into such an inspiring cohort.

A Win for the Whole Team
This is a moment to celebrate everyone who’s helped get us here:
Our product and engineering teams building world-class solutions.
Our compliance experts for keeping us ahead of evolving regulations.
Our partners and customers for building with us to help navigate a complex space.
And of course – the brands, platforms, and creators working alongside us to make the digital world safer for young audiences. Our CEO Kate O’Loughlin summed it up perfectly: “Being chosen for this year’s Future Fifty is a proud milestone for our team. Kids and teens have never been more active or influential in the digital world – and we’re deeply committed to building the tech, tools, economics and insights to equip the ecosystem to safely include them.”
What’s Next?

Future Fifty is designed to help companies like ours grow faster and go further. It means new networks, new ideas, and new opportunities to expand what we do – not just in the UK, but globally.
As Chancellor Rachel Reeves put it: “The Future Fifty programme powers growth across the UK and turbocharges our Plan for Change.”
For us, that means scaling up the safe, privacy-first infrastructure that helps brands engage young audiences effectively and keeps kids’ digital experiences safer, smarter, and more positive.
It was so important to me (and the SuperAwesome team) that we took a moment to discuss the Online Safety Act at Downing Street at last night’s event to ensure that the government understood that while it’s a brilliant and important step, there’s still so much more that we can do as a collective. When I say a collective I mean brands, creators and businesses of all shapes and sizes that can help to be a part of the change. We can’t always look to the government, schools or parents to engender change. Sometimes making an impact in this space requires intentional and meaningful actions from industry at all levels, and I’m proud to be a part of that movement already.
We couldn’t have reached this point without our team, partners, and community, so thank you all. SuperAwesome has been a leader in the kids digital ecosystem for a long time, but it feels like in some ways we’re just getting started. Onwards and upwards!
