The Challenge
VTech’s musical toys are designed to be played with. Their magic comes alive when kids and families can touch, explore, and create together. Traditional advertising is helpful to raise awareness of the products, but it cannot fully capture the hands-on fun and shared experience that make them so special.
VTech wanted to find a way to bring its music products into an environment where kids and families could interact with them naturally, both as individual toys and as part of a bigger family-band moment, while building momentum for the Kid Tech product line ahead of the holiday season.
The Solution
SuperAwesome brought VTech and the KB Family together for an experience that celebrated creativity through music and play.
The KB Family, consisting of sibling creators Kamdenboy and Kyraboo alongside KB Mom and KB Dad, have built a family entertainment community of more than 2M YouTube subscribers. As Kamdenboy and Kyraboo celebrated the release of their first self-titled album, SuperAwesome brought VTech into the launch as a partner, creating an opportunity for the brand to connect its musical toys to a joyful, creator-led family moment.
Making It Happen
Bringing Musical Play to the Stage
VTech was integrated throughout the experience, with branding across the event and a dedicated VTech x Supah Dupah stage, where kids could sample and interact with a range of the brand’s musical toys.
The hands-on format transformed product discovery from something attendees watched into something they could actively participate in. The Kid Star Drum Pad product emerged as a standout favorite among young attendees.
Joining an Authentic Creator Moment
The KB Family used the event to introduce their debut album, sharing the stories and inspiration behind each track with guests. By sponsoring this meaningful milestone, VTech became part of a moment rooted in family, creativity, and music.
Extending the Moment Beyond the Event
Creators in attendance shared recap content across Instagram, creating an organic wave of post-event visibility. The collaboration also extended beyond the event through the premiere of Kamdenboy and Kyraboo’s music video for their new song, “Shake It Up,” featuring VTech’s newest musical toys. Three accompanying YouTube Shorts each spotlighted a different VTech product: DJ Mixer Pro, Drum Pad, and Rockstar Guitar.
Building on that momentum, VTech will continue its partnership with the KB Family for the holiday season through a long-form YouTube integration. The storyline that began in the music video will continue, featuring VTech’s Creator Cam Ultra product and giving families another imaginative way to engage with the brand.
The Impact
The event welcomed more than 100 guests, including creator families, Grammy award-winning musicians, actors, media, and music-industry professionals. Between the KB Family’s audience and recap content from attending creators, the collaboration generated an estimated 6M+ audience reach across a diverse family audience and over 1.4 million music video views.
Most importantly, the VTech x Supah Dupah stage gave kids a direct, hands-on opportunity to engage with the products, making musical play a tangible part of the day’s experience. The stage quickly became one of the day’s most talked-about moments, as kids were drawn to the opportunity to make music with the products firsthand.
Why It Worked
An Authentic Fit
VTech joined a creator-led family music moment where its products had a natural role to play, rather than interrupting the experience.
Participation Over Passive Exposure
Kids were able to interact directly with the musical toys, turning the brand presence into a memorable product experience.
Momentum Built for the Season Ahead
By activating in summer, VTech had an opportunity to begin building awareness and excitement for its music range ahead of the key holiday sales period.
“We were thrilled to partner with SuperAwesome, and Kamdenboy and Kyraboo, to introduce VTech’s newest 2026 launches to one of YouTube’s most engaged family audiences. By bringing the experience to life both in person and digitally, the collaboration gave fans an authentic, playful way to discover and experience our Kidi Star toys.”
