As part of our Future8 winners’ week, we are pleased to introduce you to James Corneille, the winner of the Web developer category and winning an awesome prize with Bin Weevils! We catch up with James as he talks through his entry and what he is most looking forward to from his prize.

James is a 16 year old web developer from Limerick, Ireland, whose entry, Skjameswinner2izzie.com earned him the Future8 Web category award!

We asked James, what inspired you to create your entry?

“I created a website called “Tus Gaeilge” to help children learn Irish in a fun way through animations. I then decided to expand this idea with another website called “Skizzie. Com” which I entered into the Future 8 competition. With Skizzie children can learn languages also through animations. I intend to expand the language choice and do a series of animations in the future and I also have other ideas for it. “

James has won a trip to London to spend a day in the Bin Weevils studio learning about the different design and development processes for web and mobile. He will  design a new Nest Item (a virtual good) with the web team that will feature in the website www.BinWeevils.com, followed by designing a new Nest Item or item of clothing with the mobile team that will feature in the brand new mobile game Weevil World, for release in Autumn 2014.

We asked James what he is most looking forward to about his prize:

“What I’m most looking forward to about my prize is getting as much experience as I can from it and I have to say, thank you very much! I am delighted to have won the future 8 award in the website category.”
